You are a moron. The dentist filled your cavity in order to prevent you from having a toothache. You're too dumb to realize that you are the one who doesn't have good oral hygiene and who eats too many sweets. It's your own fault you were getting a cavity filled in the first place. Plus, I have a feeling your dentist hates you more than you hate him. Stupid people are extremely draining.

My dentist has actually been a family friend since my grandmother was getting her teeth cleaned as a child. I don't hate him, per say, I hate his line of work. And if the Dental union ever needs a pro-activist, I'll tell em to call you.

no actually that is not true..dentists dont have a high suicide rate..they usually retire when they are 45 - rich and loaded ! they buy a house on a sunny island and party and drink till they die !

Ever heard of malpractice insurance? As a former pre-med student, I can tell you that med school costs a good $500k just to get your M.D.. Work in a starting salary of about $80-90k working shit hours...plus $500k a year malpractice insurance....eh, in the long run, doesn't seem worth it to me.

that is over exaggeration..dental schools cost as little as £15k in the UK ..."malpractice insurance" would not cost that much too...it is about £10-15k a year and besides salaries are around £80-120k depending on how much u work..that is not the issue, the issue is u dont brush..that is why ur in pain...he had to drill for half an hour cos probably u had a cavity the size of a football pitch full of plaque and decay !

Actually no, the cavity was the size of a a pinhole, and the reason for it was definately not my oral hygiene, but my enamel deficiency. And I live in the United States where I know for a fact that malpractice insurance is as much as I said, being as how I interned with a doctor who told me to change my major from pre-med because it wasn't worth it. And dentists make the least out of any M.D.. As someone who interned in the profession and was a pre-med major, I do know what I'm talking about.

Now, 500k might be on the high end of malpractice, but I know my dentist is almost 80 years old and can't retire. In my line of work, I'll be set for a perfectly luxurious retirement at 55. Whether or not I'd enjoy it as much as he enjoys his job is a different matter, but I do know that I could not and would not wish to dole out my hard earned money to protect my name and reputation from money-starved lowlifes that sue people every other day.

I'm going to be a dentist soon. I love dentistry. We help a lot of people save teeth that would otherwise decay away. We prevent life threatening infections (people HAVE died from infections that start in teeth). We do NOT have the highest suicide rate... that is a completely incorrect assumption brought on by the media because it is shocking and interesting. That big needle prevented a lot worse pain. but for a real funny criticism of dentists... look up the Bill Cosby dentist skit, ha!
