Do you have any advice on a very simple soldering job I could do to build up practise.
something small and preferable cheap, that would be easy to test to see if it worked.
I want some practise before attempting an arcade stick modification

We've got a very simple kit that's $10. It's a scanning LED display like the Cylons have in Battlestar. CuriousInventor com / kits / tinyCylon Even cheaper, you can just find some discarded electronics and try removing / reattaching those components. cheers.

the best route is to keep your tip coated in solder whenever you're not using it. There are some cleaning suggestions at our guide ( curiousinventor com / howtosolder ) and we'll answer in more detail if you post questions on our forum ( curiousinventor com / forums / 3 ) cheers.
