that's really an awful experience, and sadly I feel mine will probably be the same way...I live in conservative east texas, so my hopes aren't high...but I'm definately waiting until I am away at college before I do it, just so if it does end up that way, I don't have to be around them all the time...but that takes a lot of courage...love your channel and the 5ssg, btw

My parents basically did the same thing, only they caught me on the computer, read ALL of my messages, and stuff and than i went to therapy the next week, they made me feel like I had some sort of diseases and that therapy is the cure, who really knows why gay people are the way they are? I'm not sure. But yea..

I totally feel what you're going thru. I came out the summer after my freshman year (aug 2005), & was forced to move out right after that... since then my mother has grown a heart & in November, we got together for the first time... she drove 450 miles to see me... it was a big relief, but things still aren't the same... please don't burn the bridges w/ the parents...

Dude I feel so sorry, but don't worry my uncle is gay and it took years for my Grandparents to accept it. My Grandfather used to not even let his boyfriend in the house, but that was years ago so it gets better.

I havn't been through this, i still have it to come, but if your parents really love you, then you WILL be accepted.
What your mom has been saying derek, i would be totaly disgusted if my parents said that to me, i would never speak to them again, you need to keep your hopes up and try to be as free as possible about it.
I think a chat with somebody would help me and your the person i am trusting in at the moment.
