I stayed in Lubbock Texas for a couple of years way back in the early 90's having moved from England and I had this album playing a lot before the trip and this song would always get me excited about moving there...well after 13 years away from Texas I'm back living here again and think its a great state and a cool place to live ;-)

Going to Las Vegas Nev. from Victoria, when you get to El Paso, you are more than halfway there. It is a shorter distance from L.A. Cal. to El Paso, than it is from Texarkana to El Paso.The distance from Brownsville to Dalhart, is longer than from Dallas to Chicago WOW!!!!!!!!

Texas is a great place - there is no state income tax, still plenty of jobs (compared to the rest of the USA) and if you take a class and pay $75 to the state, you get a license to carry a gun. California or New York will never have that kind of freedom.
