Wayne is a great ... ( 2 months ago by heywoodjablohme)
Wayne is a great guy. He speaks the truth. If people aren't listening now, all we have to do is wait. When the crash finally comes, it'll be bigger than if we experienced it now (or if we simply smoothed it over by allowing competing currencies). The only thing that the Federal Reserve can do is "postpone and exacerbate". I strongly recommend that everyone here read "The Creature From Jekyll Island" by G Edward Griffin.

This is deffinately a better performance than the last one he put on. I don't think he was given enough time, but that's probably becuase he's just a v.p. enstead of a presidential candidate.

Keep at it Wayne. Stay Positive. I like you long term plan.

You got Wayne all wrong. This is america, the land of the free. What's wrong with making money from gamblers? Coke makes money by selling sugar water. Get a lofe.

Do some research on Root and his business. It's complete con game. Never says on his website or Barr's what he does. Just a "businessman". What a joke.

Can't help but point out what a dick Wayne sounded like when he said, "people like me." Hahaha. Still, best of luck to the LP.

Cavuto is such an asshole for cutting him off. I would love to see Root blow Gov. Avon Lady and The Gaffe Machine out of the water in a debate.

What the cripes, this guy is dumber than a bag of hammers. How we let him slide into the VP slot is beyond me.

Is it just me, or ... ( 2 months ago by DoomHippie)
Is it just me, or did the gas prices start decreasing around the same time as the stock crash? Where I live, it's gone from being almost $4.00 a gallon, to $2.97.
I'm not saying the crash is a good thing, but it has some good points.

What's the con game ... ( 2 months ago by kerrickbond)
What's the con game exactly, yankee? That he makes money from gamblers? What about the coke makers and drug manufacturers who make money on sugering and doping people?
Here's the deal. ... ( 2 months ago by yankeekane)
Here's the deal. Root and his people reel compulsive gamblers in by telling them that they have "inside information" about NFL and college football games. The gamblers then pay them for so called "lock" picks. Complete snake oil salesman. If you've seen this con, I think you'd agree with me. Don't get me wrong, I still like Bob Barr, but not sure why he picked this joker.

Gas in KC went from $4.16 per gallon in August now it is down to $2.66 a gallon on the KS side and as low as $2.39 on the MO. Well at least it is a start. BARR/ROOT 08! A real vote for change

Oh wow you're gas is down to $2.66 or $2.97.
Ours is still a little above $3.00. Oh yeah I live in New York, I shouldn't get my hopes up.
Neither McCain's or ... ( 2 months ago by Piscivorus)
Neither McCain's or Obama's tax plans cut taxes for anyone. All they do is raise the overall federal tax burden and then shift most of it from personal income taxes to corporate taxes. Corporations aren't just going to suck it up, hell no!, they're going to raise prices, cut wages and/or cut jobs to make up for it. If that's what you want, it's what you're about to get.
McCain will cut ... ( 2 months ago by profwito)
McCain will cut capital gains and corporate taxes as well, while freezing expansions in most government expenditures.

The National Taxpayers Union says McCain and Obama will both cost us taxpayers more money. They say Bob Barr is the only candidate to cut government expense.
yes it's due to the ... ( 2 months ago by stealthswimmer)
yes it's due to the decreased demand caused by the recession. People in the US are just scared of recessions due to the Great Depression. The thing is that this is a correctionary recession, not one that just is happening for no reason. It's happening cus the market wants to stabilize itself and bring prices down to the proper market levels. THe thing is that some folks lose jobs, so it's not very politically popular to go through with it.
But McCain is pro ... ( 2 months ago by ehalofan)

You are entirely ... ( 1 month ago by thinkingrationally)
You are entirely correct-we have a very low pain threshold in this country. No one wants to lose any jobs, but that is necessary in an inflated economy such as ours. You must go through some short term pain for long term gain. Auto workers in Detroit making $78 per hour is not sustainable.
